Leading Christian ethicist, pastor, and author David Gushee will deliver a series of presentations on democracy and Christianity September 15-16. Gushee, who is currently Distinguished University Professor of Christian Ethics at Mercer University, is also past president of the American Academy of Religion and the Society of Christian Ethics. He is the author or editor of over 28 books, as well as numerous other articles. Gushee’s latest books are Defending Democracy from its Christian Enemies (2023) and The Moral Teachings of Jesus: Radical Instruction in the Will of God (2024).
The series is jointly sponsored by Bethel College Mennonite Church and the Bethel College Bible and Religion Department. The public is warmly invited to this conversation.
