In honor of our celebration, we are inviting you to donate $50 to BCSW for our 50th! Consider a monthly donation, which helps sustain our program and support students on an on-going basis.

Join us at Fall Festival, 2024, where alumni and friends will be gathering to celebrate social work education.  Connect with former professors, peers, and colleagues, and enjoy social work cookies and the sweetness of connecting with friends.  The reception will be Saturday, October 5, at 3:00 PM at the Kidron-Bethel Classroom.

Join us for a 50th Anniversary Symposium & discussion on Friday, October 4 from 1-5. We’ll meet to hear Stacey Popejoy discuss abolitionist social work and engage in a Loss of Turtle Island event hosted by Mennonite Central Committee. Following the symposium we’ll have an informal discussion and reception. A $30 donation is requested for attending the symposium. Three CEUs will be available.  Payment by cash or check can be made at the event or you can donate online here: BCSW 50th Symposium. 

Our 50th anniversary will also include a lecture by Sarah Augustine on Saturday, October 5, at 2:00 PM in the Kaye Penner Education Center at Kidron Bethel.

Encourage your friends and family members to attend! And we are always looking for more students. If you know someone in your community that might be a good fit for social work, please share our information with them and let us share the excitement of social work with them.

The Social Work Department would like to invite any artists to submit a work that represents resilience and hope.  We would like to commission this artwork to be completed and presented during Social Work Month in the Spring of 2025, in honor of our 50th anniversary.  If you or someone you know would like to submit a proposal for this, please contact jennifercd@bethelks.edu for more information.
