English Major Requirements at Bethel College
Major Requirements for a Bethel College English Degree:
- Total Hours: 33 hours (27 hours of required courses plus 6 hours of departmental electives)
- Degree: Must be taken within the Bachelor of Arts degree
- Foreign Language: Complete eight hours or demonstrate equivalent competence by examination

- Degree: Must be taken within the Bachelor of Arts degree
- Foreign Language: Complete eight hours or show equivalent competence by examination
- Teacher Licensure: Must complete Teacher Licensure requirements, including EDU 475 (Student Teaching in the Secondary School). If you do not complete Teacher Licensure, you must finish the regular English Major, including Senior Thesis courses ENG 481 and ENG 482.
